Worship Nights
The sun sets in the distance. Looking around, you see so many of the people that you see every day in the halls, but they are in a different element. Food, music, friends--all you really need to have a good time. At first glance, this is what the senior class was doing, socializing, but if you look a little closer, you can see what was really going on. This summer was the turning point for many in the class of 2016. New passions were ignited while new friendships were formed, and along with this, many students wanted to have a night where friends could gather and fellowship. It was just an idea at first. A few seniors decided to text some friends and see if they could come to Senior Larkin M.'s house, but the turnout was surprising. Students from several grades made it out on that quiet Saturday night to worship, pray, and speak to each other about God and just life in general. It was phenomenal to see the way that God moved in that place, and hosting more was not even in question. Worship nights are now going to take place about every month, and the whole high school is more than welcome to attend. Simple nights with friends becoming so much more--what a testament to the goodness of our God.
