Super Bowl 50

The stage is set in Levi Stadium, in Santa Clara, California, where the Carolina Panthers will square off against the Denver Broncos. It will be a tale of two quarterbacks, flashy Cam Newton and classy Peyton Manning, and a dominating defense of the Broncos matching up against a versatile Carolina Panthers’ offense. The Broncos’ defense has been wreaking havoc on opposing offenses with their lethal pass rush led by the savvy veteran DeMarcus Ware, and a quarterback’s worst nightmare, Von Miller. Peyton Manning, at 39 years old, makes his fourth appearance at the big game with an overall record of 1-2. Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers makes his first playoff run and first Super Bowl appearance at age 26. With an age difference of 13 years, the age gap is the greatest in Super Bowl history. Cam Newton was actually in fourth grade when Peyton Manning was drafted into the NFL in 1998. Newton may not have the experience of Manning, but the probable MVP is taking the league by storm with his ability to run and pass the ball, leading his team to a near perfect season of 15-1 so far. The Panthers also have a solid running attack with veteran, Jonathan Stewart, and have a stalwart defense as well. Carolina’s defense is led by two star linebackers with Luke Kuechly and the former NFL Man of the Year, Thomas Davis. This exciting game is set to take place on February 7th on CBS. The exciting Carolina Panthers hope to achieve their first Super Bowl win in franchise history, as the Denver Broncos hope to spoil their hopes, bringing the trophy back to Denver for a 3rd time.
