New year, new teachers, new edmodo, and new newspaper. A lot of things have changed over the course of one summer. One difference is the new high school principal, Mr. Woolridge. To get to know Mr. Woolridge a little better, read this interview with him. But Mr. Woolridge isn't the only new staff member; several new teachers began year with us, working in nearly every department. Make sure to make them feel welcomed, as often the new teachers are as nervous as the students when it comes to the start of the year.

Canvas, or the "new Edmodo", is quite different than its former counterpart. Unlike Edmodo's time-related posts, Canvas separates teachers' assignments into categories. This removes the need to scroll through dozens of posts to find that one assignment given two weeks ago. Some students welcomed the change, while most would rather have kept Edmodo. "I feel like it could be better than Edmodo, but not everyone knows how to use it", says Matthew, a sophomore at CAL.

As you have noticed, The Centurion Voice is now a website, where you can read articles, view other students' works such as art, photography, short films, etc..., and stay informed on events within the school and around the world. Sure, some things have changed, but some things will always stay the same, like morning traffic and crowded hallways.
