Waterfront Art Project
It is a beautiful and clear day, and there's nothing to do except go outside and either tan (which is more difficult for some of us than it is for others) or go do some outdoor activity. Even the most passionate swimmer gets tired of the pool sometimes, and going on a jog just doesn't sound like the most fun option to enjoy the day. Louisville is a city of opportunity, a city of eclectic people and changing interests. As Louisville has evolved into the unique city that it is in the middle of a countrified state, many ideas have been brought to life along the way. One of these ideas that has just recently become a reality is the waterfront art project. Resident driven, the project called "Connect/Disconnect" transforms a part of the Louisville Loop into a display of the uniqueness and rare talent that makes this city great. Part of this project has already begun, and it is said to go into the fall as well. Abstract statues and sculptures are just some of the art that is on display. Submissions are being taken, so if you are interested you can still submit your ideas to be displayed along the waterfront. So next time you need something to do that's a little bit different, the waterfront has just the solution.
