Trumped

Donald Trump is by far the most controversial candidate of this upcoming 2016 election. He may even be one of the most controversial in the past couple decades. People may ask why he is getting so much attention. He is very outspoken and is not afraid to say what is on his mind. His opinions and beliefs are not easily swayed by others, and he takes pride in the fact that he is an open book. By doing this, he catches everyone's eye and has even requested that others be as open with their personal information as he is. Trump has requested this of current president, Barack Obama. Trump has asked Obama to present his birth certificate to prove he is really from Hawaii. He shows his skepticism of Obama because Obama has failed to present legitimate documents. Some people, who are against Trump, like to say this is something negative that Trump is pointing out to personally target the President. This is entirely wrong. Trump questions Obama to contrast his own openness to Obama’s alleged deception. Also, most of the critics of Trump in relation to Obama are from Obama’s own constituency, Democrats. They forget, however, that the current democratic candidate running for office, Hillary Clinton, has also questioned President Obama on his place of birth. Some may say that his lack of self-control when it comes to speaking is a terrible quality in him, but it may be just what our country needs.
His strong speech and immovable stance on his positions carries over to his beliefs on topics like immigration and abortion. Immigration is particularly sensitive to Hispanics in the U.S. We all agree Trump obviously crosses some imaginary lines and offends people, but this is just how Trump functions. As stated before, he is very outspoken, and this leads him to saying a few things that some people may not like. However, we can find good behind what he is saying. He isn't being outspoken and “loud” just to draw attention. He is being outspoken so we as Americans will realize an issue that is currently taking place in our country. According to ontheissues.org, U.S. citizens are unemployed and losing jobs to illegal immigrants. We need to be freeing up those for legal citizens of the U.S. On the topic of abortion, Trump has respectfully expressed his new-found stance as pro-life. As of only a few years ago, Trump changed his belief on whether or not it is only the woman's decision to have an abortion. Personal friends influenced this change in position. Although Trump has seemed flexible toward pro-choice decisions in certain circumstances, engendering the criticism that he is wishy washy, he is standing as pro-life now.
Donald Trump is a man who wants to take action. He is a man who is not afraid of anyone in the government because he is an outsider compared to the other candidates. Other politicians have no levy on him or his opinions, which is a great quality for our next president to have. We need someone who will get the job done and is strong. We need someone who is focused on making our country the best it can be and be brave enough to do whatever it takes. We need Donald Trump.
